Note from the Founder
"By 2019 we were hosting experiences in Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Swaziland, Lesotho, Mozambique and South Africa. In all of these countries, our guests created memories to last a lifetime, they had the opportunity to connect with the locals in ways which are typically inaccessible to tourists .
In all of these countries, we found the most hospitable hosts, we ate amazing food, danced with the ladies and kids in the villages, and had guides we could trust on adventure experiences such as scuba diving with whale sharks on the east coast of the continent.
As someone who has traveled over 30 countries myself, mostly solo and mostly as a backpacker/budget traveler, I knew that the experiences being offered would appeal to many like-minded travelers all over the world. I could also see the reality of how much these communities and guides relied on tourism income for their survival.
Developing the inAfrica marketplace was the most effective way to connect these two sets of people and showcase meaningful experiences to travelers who would otherwise just never find them when searching online for things to do while in Africa." Phakamile Hlazo, Founder inAfrica, Zulu Nomad
