    For entry into the territory of the United Republic of Tanzania for tourism purposes it is necessary to have a valid foreign passport with an expiry date of at least six more months at the moment of crossing the border of the Republic. The passport must have two blank pages for seals and stamps on border crossing.

    There are two ways to get tourist visa;

    1. Receiving visa upon arrival: visa will be stamped into your passport by the immigration authorities of Tanzania.

    2. Applying an online visa: the Tanzania Immigration Services launched a new online visa service. To access these services, an applicant is required to visit the Tanzania department's website at www.immigration.go.tz then click "e-services" button: select "online visa application" then fill the Visa Application Form

    • Food: All meals mentioned in the itinerary. Mostly organic grown foods

    Clothes:

    • Long-sleeved shirts and trousers: temperatures can drop at night and it keeps mosquitoes away and protects you from the sun.

    • Hat: to protect your face from the sun
    • Nice outfit: for dinners or when you spend time in a city
    • Sarong: very useful for women to wrap around if you need to go to the toilet in the bush or after a swim.

    Footwear:

    • A pair of sneakers or trail runners: hiking shoes are only necessary if you are going to climb a mountain, otherwise, choose lighter shoes
    • Flip-flops or sandals: comfortable when you relax at your accommodation, go swimming or take a shower

    Toiletries:

    • Pack the usual things like soap, toothpaste, shampoo, and conditioner, etc.
    • Sunscreen
    • After-sun lotion
    • Bug spray/ insect repellent with DEET
    • Lip balm with SFP
    • Wet wipes: if you have to go to the toilet or clean anything during your safari

    Documents:

    • Passport: valid a minimum of 6 months prior to entry.
    • Yellow fever health card: they can ask for it upon arrival at the airport.
    • Visa: you can get it upon arrival at the airport in Tanzania.

    • Cash dollars: note that in Tanzania only US bills newer than 2006 are accepted

    Deposit and Final Payment

    • You will be required to pay a deposit or deposits when booking, ranging from 30% - 45%. Your consultant will advise you on how much that will be. All deposits are non-refundable for changes of mind or cancellations by you (subject to your rights). 
    • Final payment is required no later than 2 weeks prior to arrival unless otherwise stated.

    Itinerary
    Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

    The drive from Arusha town to Lake Manyara National Park takes about 4 hours. After having a Picnic lunch in Manyara, you start a late afternoon game drive, which is the best time to view animals in this park. When you approach it from the east, the Rift Valley escarpment looms on the horizon forming an impressive backdrop to the lake. In the tall trees of the ground water forest, monkeys leap from branch to branch, and on the escarpment, elephants stand in the shade. Other animals frequently seen are zebras, impalas, monkeys, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, and others.

    Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park to Tarangire

    After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, enjoy full day game drive with picnic lunch. After lunch we will continue our safari in the park until the evening. The park consists of natural vegetation mainly of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp area in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania'a dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa.

    This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals - the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx as well as a few Ashy Starlings.

    Day 3: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

    The drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge takes 3 to 4 hours. Olduvai Gorge is an archaeological site located in the eastern Serengeti plains, in which early human fossils were first discovered. It has an amazing landscape that resulted from the same tectonic forces that created the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago. Then, in the late evening drive to the Serengeti central park.

    Day 4: Serengeti Game drive

    On this day, those who wish to experience Serengeti Balloon Safaris (at extra cost), will be picked up before dawn at their hotels. Start to rise as the sun rises and floating in whichever direction the winds of the morning take us. 

    The flight is about one hour, depending on conditions and eventually we must land and have a full English breakfast in the bush. Then later join the rest of the group for game drive.

    While others after breakfast, we will venture into the Serengeti's wilderness corners for a full-day of game viewing in the park. With a picnic lunch beside you, take your leisure while exploring this world heritage site, where earth's largest concentration of plain game still roams free until late evening.

    Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Arusha

    After an early breakfast, check out of the lodge with packed picnic lunch and depart back to Arusha. We will arrive in the late afternoon to Arusha/Kilimanjaro in time for your onward flight. Alternatively continue to your booked hotel (at your own expense)

    Change and cancellation fees:

    Cancellations must be sent in writings or email to the office that confirmed the reservation. All cancellations shall only be effective from the date of receipt of cancellation by the booking office

    Subject to your refund and remedy rights, the following change and cancellation fees apply to all bookings (including online bookings and bookings made with a consultant)

    • If cancelled 1month before departure date, 50% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fees less admin fees
    • If cancelled less than 14 days before departure date, no refunds will be given. 100% of the booking amount will be charged as cancellation fees.
    • Refunds will not be given for unused services, the late arrival or absence of clients
    • Muzuri Tours reserves the right to cancel your tour up to 60 days before start date.

    You are free to change the dates of your trip at any point in time. While rescheduling, applicable cancellation charges and any new charges will apply. Additional charges, if any, will be informed by the Company to you before the rescheduling is done. In case the booking is cancelled after rescheduling the original trip date will be used to calculate any refunds.

    • All prices are subject to availability and can be withdrawn or varied without notice. The price is only guaranteed once paid for in full by you. Please note that prices quoted are subject to change. Price changes may occur by reason of matters outside our control which increase the cost of the product or service. Such factors include adverse currency fluctuations, unfavorable change in exchange rates, fuel surcharges, government taxes and airfare increase. Please contact your consultant for up-to-date prices.
