This popular tourist attraction is an extensive national park in the Kalahari Desert of Botswana. It is the largest game reserve in the country and the second largest reserve in the world. The destination is the most secluded reserve in southern Africa.

It was established in 1961. The wildlife found in the park ranges from, giraffes, elephants, white rhinoceros, leopards, lions, and zebras to name a few. The earliest inhabitants of the land, the San, are located in the middle of the desert, so, you are bound to run into them on your journey.

The best time to visit is in January through April because of the rain and the rain brings forth green lands. When the lands are green and flourishing, they attract wildlife such as springboks and gemsbok. What better way to capture the scenery when it is flourishing with nothing but the colour green and wildlife? Don’t forget to pack your camera. You need to capture all the moments.

The destination is peaceful, so, you don’t need to worry about the city noise and loud hooting from traffic. Its just you and nature.
